Dragnet Solutions Limited - Our client, Lafarge Africa Plc, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fitter

Location: Sagamu, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

About the role

  • Also, he/she liaises with Warehouse unit to monitor lubricant inventory.
  • He/she will also: Gauge gearboxes to level.
  • The role holder is also responsible for keeping of records of the lubricant’s consumption of the equipment.
  • Carry out all plant lubrication schedules.Ensure all drive shaft bearings running smoothly/gearboxes
  • The primary objective of Lubrication Technician is to organize and follow up proper established lubrication programme of all plant equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the equipment daily and provides proper feedback for recording of data for future analysis and reference
  • Operate machines for maintenance use (drills, lathes, etc.)
  • Routine checks of all drives
  • Plumbing
  • Lubrication / greasing of the followings: - All drives, Shafts, Rollers and Gearboxes
  • Inspection of plant
  • Changing of lubrication oil as per schedules
  • Fitting jobs
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Some welding techniques
  • Create work orders
  • Quality of repair on all equipment
  • Studies recurring problems of equipment reliability or problems related to safety and work conditions
  • Use maintenance tools (equipment, inspections, lube schedules & planning)
  • Checking of all drives oil level

Required skills

  • Knowledge of Health and Hazards storage rules and regulation
  • Strong Excel and MS Office proficiency (including good knowledge of PowerPoint)
  • Good knowledge SAP and SAP FC is a plus
  • Proficient in PPM systems both in theory and in practice.

Experience:

  • 2-3 years post graduate experience preferably in a cement manufacturing setting.

Education:

  • Other Degree in Engineering.
